Distruption

Currently having a problem uploading my footage onto a editing suite due to a broken memory card reader so I am going to focus on written work and research.

Filming

I have started filming. I have chosen to use my friends to be in my film as I can rely on them to help me and not let me down, they are also in my film class and are able to film when I need them too.

Props and Locations

As my film is called 'College Life' I will be filming all of my scenes at Wyke College. I will have to film some scenes when nobody is about due to noise and interruptions however being able to film at college is very handy. The props I will be using are what really are parracetamols but will take the place of the 'drug'. I also will need a £10 note for the 'dealing' scene where Sid pays Steve for pills.

Overview -
Sid goes to meet Steve to get the pills and pay him. Steve is waiting for Sid to arrive and is quite impatient. Sid recieves the pills and goes onto take them in the male toilets at the college. We then see Sid's trip through his perspective.  

First Scene -
MS of Steve awaiting Sids arrival. MS of Sid walking through the doors upto Steve where they exchange a handshake/hug. EC of the exachange of drugs and money. MS of Sid walking away.

Second Scene/Third Scene -
LS of Sid walking towards the toilets. Camera then pans up when Sid looks at the bathroom door, (CU of Male sign). LS of him walking in.
Sid looks at himself in the mirror (CU) then goes onto ECU of him looking at the pills in his hand, then he goes onto take them. LS of the bathroom from Sids perspective.

Fourth Scene -
We see Sid spinning in the college whilst people watch, we then see the spin from his perspective. A shot of people walking really fast and really slow will be cut in and out of this scene.

Script

I made this script, however I let my actors only take a glance at it so they can get a basic understanding of what I want them to say because I think it will flow easier and seem more realistic if some of the script is improvised as both actors admit they are not the best.

Steve - Where have you been?
Sid - Sorry something came up, have you got what I asked for?
Steve - Yeah, have you got the money?
Sid - Course

They exchange the pills and the money through a slight of hand

Steve - See you later
Sid - Yeah cheers mate

What I need to remember.

Conventions – Genre and narrative (which conventions are you using?)
Aims and Context (audience, define the target audience, lifestyle, catchments, social class) Aims are what you want to achieve and context is how you are going to do it. You are being marked on this. What is your purpose and for which audience and how are you going to achieve that?
Stylistics – Examples and Analysis
Pre-Production
Scripting, Scene breakdown, storyboard, shot list, casting and Locations. Equipment hire, transport and informing people. Make sure there is continuity.
